My name is Lochlan Morrissey. I’m a public servant and musician and sometimes poet. I live in Brisbane, Australia.
The publishing of this website is an attempt to get me to write more, and to get more thoughts down more often. The two primary inspirations for the blog are ribbonfarm (from which I borrowed the concept of blogchains) and Idle Words (which looks very similar because I based the layout of this site on it).
In a rather unhelpful origin story, the blog’s name comes from the URL. The URL I bought because Lochland is a common enough misspelling of my name, which is itself a misspelling of a far more popular variant, Lachlan. My email address – which is, helpfully, in the sidebar – uses this domain name, so I’m more-or-less stuck with it now.
